Being enthusiastic is good. Its the normal energy level a human being possesses, but being overenthusiastic feels a lot like having an immense amount of energy that nobody else can relate to.
Overenthusiastic people have a lot of drive in them. They don't and won't sitstill, they find ways of always moving around. They want to get the most things done in one time. Sometimes impossible but they can actually prevail. Even the idea of a small break would sometimes be the most dreadful thing but otherwise very much needed.
The thing about being overenthusiastic is sometimes you are taken granted for the shitload of work you can actually complete. Sometimes your strongest trait can be a bad thing too.
An overenthusiastic person doesn't think too much when it comes to action. We presume we have made all the judgements in our head and just go for it. Sometimes the spontaneous decisions are good and sometimes it leaves you in regret.
I think a lot of people are enthusiastic depending on the type of situation.
But you can always make yourself overenthusiastic even if you don't have passion in what you do. Its called Will.
I was given a task that I knew nothing about. I had poor knowledge on the subject matter but that did not stop me from trying. Along the way as I found myself passionate and more open to learning, I discovered I became overethusiastic. There was a thirst for more. So i kept the momentum going.
I'm writing this article to tell you that it's okay to be overenthusiastic, to be always on time. To lack sleep and still have a lot of energy. Its okay to be called weird because you aren't normal, you are unique.
It took me some time to understand why I am programmed the way I am. But then I realised, the upper hand of being overenthusiastic is it gives you that sense of fulfilment and satisfaction. It makes you realise what you are capable of and it makes you happy.
This blog post is dedicated for those of you who have trouble speaking in large crowds. Having stage fright is what they normally call it. But nothing is impossible to achieve and I hope these tips will help you be braver and bolder in conquering the world, in the midst of finding yourself.
So how shall we do this? Faking confidence is not as bad as it sounds. It doesn't mean you are fake. Definitely not. It's just an act of pure genius.
I also believe it's what most people do in times of desperate measures.
1) Don't Look Them In The Eye
When you are speaking in front of an audience, don't look anyone in the eye! Unless you are speaking to a person one-on-one then you should actually look the person in the eye, because it might seem rude. If you are speaking to a large audience it helps for you to keep your focus on the far back of the hall or maybe just focus on one person or an object.
2) Let It Go
Memorising a script is a really bad idea. I suggest small pocket notes to help you keep track. Take deep breaths before you start and just say what you need to say. The message you wish to portray will be felt by your audience when you speak from within.
3) Bullshit with confidence
I know this definitely sounds fake but its also the smartest move out there. It is a technique in which you don't speak facts and you don't admit you don't know the facts either. Its called playing safe, which can be a way to confuse your audience but I guarantee you its bound to work. This often happens spontaneously.
So there you have it! My three tips that will hopefully help you guys overcome public speaking 🙂 Do let me know what you think in the comments below!
I will always find ways to talk to you.
Whether I close my eyes or when I'm wide awake.
Whether you feel me physically attached to you or not, you will hear me speak to you like echoes etched within your mind, during a hot summers day or a cold winter chime.
I will always find ways to get to you.
Whether I am far away or close behind.
Whether you feel me emotionally attached to you or not, you will feel me in the rhythms of your daily routines on a beautiful spring or at autumn's wind.
I suddenly have that emotional pang of writing everything down as fast as i can before i forget. Its like adrenaline. The hot fuzzy feeling lifting me from within.
I somehow feel that human beings like ourselves should push ourselves out there.
To achieve what we really want and to be whom we truly are.
Life is too short isnt it? To just sit around and mope. To complain about things that make us tick and to find the odd things that relate to us the most.
Find out what makes you want to wake up in the morning and be the best at what you want to be. Its not easy, I know but its not impossible either.
Do the things that you fear the most and you will feel yourself unravel into a person you never thought you could be.
Be bold and daring enough to take that plunge. Nothing great will ever be achieved in your personal comfort zone.
Nothing great was ever achieved without trying.
